It felt like my gums were poked harder than usual leading my floss to feel like it went and cut through my middle teeth’s gums later that night. I also had to haggle my price down because I was told over text I would be charged $100 without insurance for a checkup, but I was billed $411 before I asked why.

Im not a great dental patient ( I dont like the sounds and vibrations of any dental work plus i gag. But everyone at Dental Works has been super nice and very accommodating. They have a great vibe. The music is awesome too. Dr. Ybanez is the greatest dentist I've ever had. I can't remember my hygienist name, but I always get her and I can't say enough good things. Truly best dental experiences ever.

Dr. Ybanez is absolutely awesome. Everything he has done to my mouth has never had to be repeated, adjusted or removed and try again. He has ALWAYS got it right the very first time. Will never allow anyone but his office touch my teeth.

DentalWorks is absolutely amazing! They were quick and extremely friendly. I also didn’t know there were different treatment plans that the VA could approve and they let me know. The hygienist was informative and answered questions I had and concerns I had regarding my teeth. I couldn’t be happier with my visit and look forward to future visits.

I had my first appointment at DentalWorks for a routine cleaning, but the experience left me disappointed and feeling a bit misled about costs. When I checked in, I clearly told the assistant I was there for a cleaning. She didn’t mention that they do an evaluation/exam first and that the actual cleaning would require a separate appointment. She also said they needed to take X-rays and, when I specifically asked if they were covered by my insurance, assured me yes (or she would have told me otherwise). The doctor was friendly and professional, he reviewed the X-rays, said everything looked good, and that was positive. Right before I left, the assistant mentioned needing a panoramic X-ray, so we went ahead with it. Then at checkout, I was hit with a surprise: my insurance didn’t cover the panoramic, and I had a copay to pay out of pocket. I was never informed upfront about the potential cost or given the option to decline it, especially after the doctor had already said things were fine. This felt sneaky, particularly since I had asked about coverage earlier. Last year at another dental office, I never had unexpected copays, and any balances were always clear upfront. I followed up about this at my later cleaning appointment, but the front desk staff wasn’t apologetic or helpful when I explained why it didn’t seem right. The doctor and hygienist were nice, but the lack of transparency from the assistant and front desk about charges, especially after I directly asked, makes me hesitant to recommend this place. Communication about insurance and costs needs major improvement to avoid surprises like this.

The people at Dental works in Jacksonville N.C. are fantastic.i got my teeth deep cleaned. Scared of the dentist with past bad experiences, they talked me thru everything and made me feel comfortable. Thanks to the great staff my teeth feel much better, and my confidence in smiling is way better. I definitely have better feelings goin to the dentist.
