I had a very mixed experience with this office. The dentist, assistants, and front desk staff were wonderful. They were kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the financial department completely changed my experience. The financial consultation felt more like sitting with a car salesman than discussing healthcare. I felt pressured to make an immediate decision, even after explaining that I have a child and needed time to arrange finances and scheduling. They wanted me to come in the very next morning, not once asking what worked for me. The financial coordinator came across as snappy and unwelcoming, which made the situation feel uncomfortable too. I understand a root canal is important, but expecting patients to commit immediately or schedule for the very next morning is unrealistic for many people with jobs, children, and responsibilities. I want to save my tooth. The issue was never that I didn’t want treatment, but that I needed time (at least a day or two) to make a major financial decision. I felt guilty for not having thousands of dollars readily available on the spot. They did apologize for making me feel pressured, and I appreciate that. However, the experience left me uncomfortable. If the financial department showed the same empathy and professionalism as the clinical staff, this would have been a five-star experience.

Love the service and professionalism from everyone and beautiful building ! And staff very friendly. Marisol my hygienist did an amazing job. She was very gentle while cleaning my teeth and I felt at ease with her. I’d recommend her to be your Dental Hygienist.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Marisol Elizondo at Lakes Family Dental. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel comfortable and cared for. She took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, which helped me understand my treatment and feel confident about my dental care. What stood out the most was how attentive and compassionate she was. Throughout the appointment, she consistently checked on me and asked how I was doing, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Elizondo is highly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her patients. I truly appreciate her dedication and kindness. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing dentist!

First time at The Lakes Family Dental office and i'm truly blown away with Dr. J Alvarado and his incredible staff. I have dental anxiety because of previous experiences with other dentists, Dr. A , (like his staff calls him), and his team completely changed my perspective. Dr. A, his hygienist (Mel), his financial coordinator (Jennifer) and the rest of his staff provided absolute next level of customer service. Dr. A is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive to his patient's needs, patience, gentle and compassionate when it came to my fear of pain. Highly recommended.

The dental assistant took time to explain what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The dentist was just as great—super patient, never rushed, and explained everything in a way that actually made sense without being overwhelming. They were gentle, thorough, and clearly cared about doing things right rather than just getting me in and out. I had a great experience over all. The staff is very welcoming. Dr. Benavides did an amazing job. He made sure I was comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. He was really gentle and nice. Marisol the hygienist also helped me understand how important teeth health is and she was really sweet about it. I am extremely grateful for the kindness and compassion I received during my visit.
